Our galvanized steel structural diagonal bracing is a tension-only diagonal member that connects the corners of a frame bay into a rigid triangle, transferring wind and seismic lateral force into the stabilizing bracing frame. The galvanized diagonal brace is a tension-only member: it carries wind and seismic horizontal force through direct axial pull, so it must act with an opposite brace (or an X / diagonal pair) to handle load reversal. For an efficient load path keep the diagonal near 35°–55° from horizontal, and confirm the bar diameter and forged-fork capacity against the horizontal design load under your governing standard (AISC 360 / EN 1993-1-1 / GB 50017).

Installation & Inspection

 

Install: fit the forged fork lugs over the purlin and primary beam lugs, insert the bolts, then tension by turning the lock nut until the bar is snappy and slack is gone. Pair the brace with an opposite diagonal (or X pair) to cover load reversal. Keep the diagonal near 35°–55° from horizontal for an efficient load path.

 

Inspection: prior to shipment each brace is checked for thread finish, galvanizing thickness and alignment, and dimensioned against the drawing. UT / MT on forged fork ends or threaded bar is executed when required by the contract, and third-party inspection (SGS / BV / TÜV) is supported upon request.

Production Flow

 

Drawing / Tekla verification - we check brace geometry, length, thread and fork specification against your roof and wall frame before any steel is cut.

 

Incoming material inspection - the round-bar and forging stock are re-tested for chemical and mechanical properties, so only compliant steel moves forward.

 

Forged fork-end forming - the one-piece fork lug is hot-forged without weld seams, creating the strongest, crack-free tension point of the brace.

 

Bar cutting & thread rolling - bars are cut to length and fully threaded by rolling, giving a consistent, strong thread that tensions cleanly.

 

Fork + lock-nut assembly - the forged forks, lock nuts and position pins are fitted to form a complete brace ready to install.

 

Full hot-dip galvanizing - the whole assembly is galvanized to ASTM A123 / EN ISO 1461 so threads and forks resist corrosion outdoors.

 

Final check & packing by bay - thread is gauged, coating thickness measured and dimensions recorded, then matched sets are packed per bay with labels.
