GNEE Successfully Delivers Hastelloy Equipment: Showcasing Excellence in High-End Alloy Manufacturing

Recently, a batch of high-performance Hastelloy equipment independently developed and manufactured by GNEE rolled off the production line and was successfully delivered. This batch includes Hastelloy reactors, melting tanks, storage tanks, and autoclaves-key equipment tailored for harsh industrial environments. Their smooth delivery not only marks another breakthrough in GNEE's high-end alloy manufacturing technology but also underscores the company's solid strength in serving critical industrial sectors.

Premium Material Combination: Strength Meets Corrosion Resistance

Hinkley Point C: Major milestone hit in building UK's newest nuclear power station - BBC NewsAt the core of this high-performance equipment lies a meticulously designed material system: the base material adopts Q345R, a high-strength low-alloy structural steel renowned for its excellent mechanical properties and weldability, ensuring the overall structural stability and load-bearing capacity of the equipment. The inner layer and key components are made of Hastelloy C276, a world-class corrosion-resistant alloy celebrated for its unparalleled resistance to strong acids, alkalis, high-temperature media, and complex corrosive environments-making it ideal for extreme working conditions such as chemical synthesis and high-pressure reactions.

The Q345R+Hastelloy C276 clad plates used in the equipment are produced by GNEE's own clad plate factory using advanced explosive welding technology. This process creates a tight metallurgical bond between the base material and the cladding layer, with bond strength exceeding industry standards, effectively preventing delamination or leakage and laying a solid foundation for long-term stable operation of the equipment.

Notably, the inner coils of the reactors are also crafted from Hastelloy C276, precision-manufactured to optimize heat transfer efficiency while withstanding corrosive media, further enhancing the equipment's adaptability to complex working conditions.

Premium Material Combination: Strength Meets Corrosion Resistance

A standout technological highlight of this batch of equipment is the one-step forming process for the lower head, which is also made of Q345R+Hastelloy C276 clad material. Hastelloy clad heads have long been a manufacturing challenge due to the material's sensitivity to temperature and pressure during forming, which can easily cause defects such as cladding layer cracking or base-clad separation.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology signs an agreement with FramatomeThrough years of technical exploration, repeated trials, and experience accumulation, GNEE's R&D and engineering teams have developed a set of mature forming processes specifically for Hastelloy clad heads. By precisely controlling heating temperature, pressing speed, and mold parameters, the team realized one-step forming of the head-eliminating the need for multiple forming steps, reducing material stress concentration, and ensuring the integrity of the clad layer. This breakthrough not only improves production efficiency but also significantly enhances the safety and reliability of the equipment, setting a new benchmark for the forming of complex clad components.

Proven Track Record: Over 20 Units Delivered, Quality Guaranteed

In recent years, GNEE has focused on the R&D and manufacturing of Hastelloy equipment, with over 20 units successfully delivered to clients in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, fine chemical, and other industries. Each unit undergoes strict quality control throughout the entire process:

U.S. MICRO NUCLEAR REACTORWelding: Certified welders use specialized low-heat-input welding techniques to avoid carbide precipitation in Hastelloy, ensuring the corrosion resistance of welded joints.

Forming: Advanced numerical control equipment and in-house developed processes ensure dimensional accuracy and structural stability of components.

Inspection: Comprehensive non-destructive testing (ultrasonic, radiographic, penetrant), pressure testing, and corrosion resistance verification are conducted to ensure all indicators meet or exceed national and industry standards.

This mature quality management system has earned GNEE widespread recognition from clients, establishing it as a trusted partner in high-end alloy equipment manufacturing.

The successful delivery of this batch of Hastelloy equipment is a testament to GNEE's technical strength and commitment to excellence. Moving forward, GNEE will continue to deepen its expertise in special alloy materials and manufacturing technologies, providing more reliable, efficient, and customized equipment solutions for global industrial development.
