Our U-section steel sheet piles form a continuously interlocked, water-retaining wall for cofferdams, deep foundation-pit support, river bank protection and hydraulic works such as quay and flood-defense structures. The C-offset interlock chains each bar into the next, holding a stable section profile even under hard driving and unbalanced earth pressure, and the moderate self-weight lets site crews drive by vibratory hammer for fast, economical installation.
We supply hot-rolled U piles in a broad standard matrix - 400 to 750 mm wide, 6 to 25 mm thick, grades from S275 to S430 and SY295/SY390, covering Type 2, Type 3 and Type 4 sections - to EN 10248, JIS A 5528 & 5523 and ASTM A328. Every bundle ships with an MTC and can be third-party inspected, and we cut, coat, mark and pack to your site needs, quoting within 24 hours.

Engineering Performance & Design Notes
This section explains how the U-section resists earth and water pressure and how its interlock and section are verified, so you can specify it with confidence. The U profile works with a single interlock that transfers shear through the wall while the closed sheeting keeps water and soil out; it is the conventional, well-documented section class for medium head and pit works.
Watertight single interlock - hot-rolled interlock closes tightly, preventing soil leakage and water seepage in cofferdam and pit walls.
Section stability under driving - the U profile holds shape under impact and vibratory driving in stiff ground.
Multi-standard traceability - supplied to EN 10248 / JIS A 5528 & 5523 / ASTM A328 with MTC per selected standard.
Reusable temporary walls - bars pull out and re-drive on the next wall, cutting material spend over the project.
Applicable design standards - pile per EN 10248 / JIS A 5528 / ASTM A328; wall design per the project's local code.

Core Advantages & Applications
Core Advantages
Reliable water sealing - the interlocking lock structure prevents soil leakage and water seepage efficiently across the wall run.
Fast, light installation - moderate self-weight enables quick piling by vibratory hammer, saving construction time and crane size.
Recyclable economy - extractable and reusable after completion, cutting overall project expense on temporary works.
Wide standard matrix - 400–750 mm bars, 6–25 mm thick and Type 2/3/4 tiers, so the right section is typically a stock item.
Flexible & corrosion options - available for straight or curved layouts with bare, black or galvanized finishes for inland and waterfront duty.
Applications
Retaining & water control - deep foundation-pit support, cofferdams, quay walls, river bank protection, flood defense and environmental isolation barriers, recharge/groundwater wells and temporary support structures.
Hydraulic works - the interlocking seal makes U piles the preferred choice for cofferdams, quay walls and levees where a tight water barrier is required with minimal soil disturbance.
Cofferdams & deep pits - continuous interlocked retaining that de-waters the excavation for bridge piers and basements.
River bank protection & flood defense - erosion control, recharge wells and levee barrier walls.
Quay works & temporary support - dock retaining and reusable support walls in medium-head conditions.

FAQ:
What do Type 2 / Type 3 / Type 4 U-section sheet piles mean?
They are market naming tiers by section size and wall modulus: Type 2 covers the lighter 400×85–100 bars, Type 3 the 400×125–170 range, and Type 4 the heavier 500–600 and 750 wide sections for higher water head and deeper walls.
Does the single interlock make a continuously watertight wall?
Yes for low-leakage cofferdam duty in normal ground: the hot-rolled interlock closes tighter than cold-formed, and the U-section interlocks chain bars into a continuous water-retaining wall. For low-permeability marine walls we add groove sealant or joint welding.
Hot-rolled versus cold-formed U piles - which should I choose?
Hot-rolled gives a tighter, more consistent interlock for hard driving and low-permeability walls; cold-formed offers flexibility for light and standard sections. Confirm driving condition and water tightness to select.
What dimensional tolerance and inspection do you follow?
Dimensions are held to standard tolerance (about ±1% on section); each bundle ships with MTC, oil-free and length-marked, and can be checked by a third party before shipment.
Can I mix the pre-defined sizes or custom-cut lengths?
Yes - the bar sizes are from the standard matrix and can be custom cut to 6/9/12/18 m or mixed per delivery; lifting holes and custom painting/galvanizing can be added.
